I’ve been going to this shop for a few years. Upfront pricing, they give you the list of what is diagnosed and make suggestions. Fair pricing and the gentlemen at front desk are always so nice

My wife brought our 2015 Chrysler 300S 5.7L in for a fuel pump issue. This shop charged a $215 diagnostic fee and then quoted approximately $1,800 to replace both fuel pump modules, with a labor rate of $215/hour and roughly $1,000 of the estimate going toward labor. What concerned us was that they said their testing showed one pump was not producing pressure, yet they recommended replacing both. At their labor rate, $1,000 also works out to nearly five hours of labor, which seemed excessive for this repair. We declined the work and took the car to our regular mechanic, who got it running for $420 total, including parts and labor—about $1,380 less than their repair quote. Since this quote was given to my wife, the experience left us questioning whether they thought they could take advantage of her because she's a woman and wouldn't challenge the pricing or recommendation. I can't speak to their intent, but that's genuinely how the situation came across to us, particularly after seeing what the repair ultimately cost elsewhere. Between the $215 diagnostic fee, the $1,800 quote, and recommending two pumps when they told us only one wasn't producing pressure, we were not comfortable moving forward with them. Get a second opinion and an itemized estimate before approving a major repair here.
